Faith Partners
When I retired two years ago, I found I had more time to volunteer at Caring Hands. I came simply wanting to give back to my community. What I didn’t expect was to gain new people in my life who now feel like family.
The staff and volunteers share laughter, and we walk together through hard moments when someone is hurting. That sense of care for one another including our neighbors is part of what makes this place so meaningful.
In my volunteer role as Faith Partnership Coordinator, I find deep joy and hope in working alongside pastors and leaders from churches of many backgrounds. They come to the same table, praying together, working side by side, and serving our neighbors with compassion and dignity. It’s a gentle reminder of how much we can accomplish in this world when the focus is love and service. I am humbled to be a part of it.
